Greetings! Apologies for the lack of content recently, but rest assured that we have been slaving away on our first Top 200 fantasy basketball rankings, including stat projections for every player. Not only that, but you can see rankings for both our roto and head-to-head lists, as well as rankings by position.
We based our rankings on 9-category formats and included a Games Played column that essentially just acts as a general snapshot of that player’s likelihood of missing games due to injury or rest. The list is a suitable cheat sheet, but keep in mind that this is who we like the best statistically, and not necessarily where we would draft each player. You should be adjusting on the fly during your draft based on positional and categorical needs, as well as working off a list of your own sleepers.
Regarding sleepers: We have them, and will write them up as we get closer to the season. These numbers are a general starting point based on a combination of thoughts between Jeff Andriesse and Tom Lorenzo since most of the offseason moves have been finalized. Each of us has our own players we like, hate or will avoid. You should too. Consider this an easy way to get started on your own lists, and please – let us know what you think! We went a little cross-eyed going over things, so it is possible a few things slipped through the cracks. We used the same 200 players for both roto and head-to-head, even though there are probably some stragglers who belong on one list or the other who we missed. Regardless, after about 170 it really doesn’t matter outside of the deepest of leagues.
So behold! It’s the Damn Lies & Statistics 2012-13 Fantasy Basketball Top 200 version 1.0. With projections! We need sleep!
